Dr. Diego Manuel Jiménez Bravo

Biography

Born in the Cantabrian municipality of Castro-Urdiales, he studied a degree in Computer Engineering Management and Information Systems at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s degree in Intelligent Systems from the University of Salamanca (USAL). He concluded his formative stage by obtaining a PhD in Computer Engineering from the USAL. He is currently Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Computer Science and Automation of the USAL. He is part of the research group ESALab, of the same entity, where he carries out research work. His main research interests focus on the field of artificial intelligence, IoT (internet of things), smart-homes, energy optimisation and social networks, among others. He also collaborates in several research projects within the research group.
