Biography
Lucía Martín Gómez completed her higher education between 2012 and 2016, graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Salamanca. During this period she did an Internship at the University Institute of Research in Art and Technology of Animation (ATA) and her Final Grade Work “Platform for generation of melodies” which incorporated a part of research in which Artificial Intelligence algorithms were developed. At the same University, she furthered her training by studying the Master’s Degree in Intelligent Systems during the academic year 2016-2017. She also received a wide musical training and obtained the title of violinist at the Professional Conservatory of Salamanca in 2012. She is currently studying for a PhD in Computer Engineering, combining her musical knowledge with Artificial Intelligence, multimedia information processing and data extraction from Social Networks. Additionally, in the field of research, she has presented works and has collaborated as organizing committee of some international congresses of diverse areas within Artificial Intelligence, and has collaborated in several research projects related to Computational Creativity, the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 among others. In 2018, she was granted an Aid for the Recruitment of Research Staff by the Junta de Castilla y León linked to the European Research Project called My-TRAC, for which she carried out research and development work. She currently teaches at the Pontifical University of Salamanca and works as a data scientist at the Digital Marketing Agency SMARTUP.
