Born in the Cantabrian municipality of Castro-Urdiales, he studied Computer Engineering in Management and Information Systems at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He later obtained a Master’s degree in Intelligent Systems from the University of Salamanca (USAL). He is currently studying for a doctorate in Computer Engineering at USAL. He is part of the ESAL research group, of the same entity, where he carries out research work through a predoctoral grant from the Junta de Castilla y León. His main research interests are the fields of data mining, machine learning, web mining, social networks, signal processing and energy optimization. In addition, he collaborates in several research projects focused on his lines of research.
